BOGO Weddings! Say Whaaaaat?! Girls with Pearls Photography

Who doesn’t love a good sale?! Gotta friend that is engaged too? Bring her along for the GWP experience!  Book one wedding at regular price and the friend can book at 50% off! You can split the savings and both save BIG!

What is a bogo?!

Book One Get One wedding (at equal or lesser value) at half off! Grab a fellow engaged friend and share the discount!  For example; collection 3 is $4650 and includes up to 8 hours of coverage, 2 photographers, digital files from wedding, a portrait session with $200 print credit and an 10×10 tier 1 wedding album.  If your friend books the same package, a 50% discount is given and you can split the savings! That would bring each total to $3487.50 before tax!

IDK, maybe I should wait a while. . .

I wouldn’t do that if I were you! We have NEVER run a public promo like this before! Deals like this really won’t last long.

But, I don’t have any engaged friends. Can I still get a discount?

Not a problem! You can still get a 15% discount . . . However just keep in mind that we call EVERYONE WE MEET a friend! So you do not have to finish each other’s sentences to qualify 🙂

OKAY! I am ready to book . . . now what?!

Just drop us a line when you are ready to move forward and we will take it from there! Still have questions? Ask away!

We are so very excited to start off 2016 with a bang! If you want to meet me (Jamie), I will be at the Oklahoma Wedding Show, this Saturday 1/16 from 10-4. Stop by and say “HI!” We can go over your wedding in detail and even book on the spot.  Any wedding that books this weekend will receive a wedding album upgrade of choice AND a custom coffee table book of your engagement session*.

Angela & Eric | Inn at Dos Brisas |Washington, Texas

So, I totally forgot to blog this wedding.  Which is like, “Wait, What?!” because it is so lovely.  I have three kids people….so I forgot a blog post….at least I didn’t leave one of my kids at the grocery store.  Wait…1, 2, 3….okay we’re good.

Angela and Eric were married at the beautiful Inn at Dos Brisas  in Washington, Texas near Chapel Hill, Texas.  This place is stunning.  There are nine Spanish-style haciendas on the property.  The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and they even have an organic garden on site where they grow vegetables and herbs to be used at the restaurant.

JAG_0091The day was beautiful.  It was a nice October day in Texas. October can go a couple of ways here in the Lone Star State.  It can be really hot, really cold or the third option which is cool and comfortable.  Here is the bride and groom during their first look:

Perfect. Angela wore a beautiful lace gown with cowboy boots. Moosefeathers Florist did an amazing job on all of the florals.

JAG_9647The ceremony was held inside one of the horse stables, which was perfect being that Angela loves horses and rides as well.

JAG_9752RIW_0248RIW_0290JAG_9774RIW_0322JAG_9821JAG_9854The reception was held out on the patio and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night.

Carolyn & Carl | The Barn at Piano Bridge | Sengelmann Hall | Schulenburg, Texas

What happens when a wedding planner gets married?  Her wedding is beautiful right down to the last detail!

Carolyn and Carl married on October 4th, 2014 in Schulenburg, Texas.  The wedding was at The Barn at Piano Bridge and the reception was held at the historic Sengelmann Hall in Schulenburg’s downtown square.  (P.S. Jamie got stuck in the elevator at the reception for two hours leaving me to photograph most of the reception by myself but that’s a story for another time….)

You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.  It was sunny and cool, but not chilly.  Carolyn was beautiful in her Pronovias gown and boots by Old Gringo. Makeup was done by the ALWAYS fabulous Wendy Martin of Makeup by Wendy and the girls hair was done by Tree Vaello.

I love old buildings.  Sengelmann Hall was beautiful and old and charming and perfect for this wedding.

2014-10-28_0148Suzie’s cakes and Bakery did a fab job on this beautiful cake. The wedding and reception flowers were done by The Flower Box. I am in love with the lush roses that were used!

2014-10-28_01322014-10-28_01332014-10-28_01312014-10-28_0130Texas Unlimited Band provided the reception music and did an awesome job.  Seriously. They did everything from classic country to some hip hop numbers.

2014-10-28_01472014-10-28_0129To the new Mr. & Mrs. Bowen! We wish the two of you all the happiness one lifetime can hold.

Mallory & Ryan’s Texas Hill Country Wedding |Escondido|Horseshoe Bay, TX

If you remember we shot Mallory’s sister Stephanie’s wedding some years back.  Here she is with her precious little family!

2014-07-29_0010Mallory and Ryan married at the beautiful Escondido in Horseshoe Bay, TX.  The wedding was very rustic-glam and the details were amazing.  Flowers were done by Blue Lotus out of Dallas, the cake was done by Sweet Treets Bakery & Cafe out of Austin, and wedding planning by RSVP-Ridiculously Swanky, Really Pretty Events (Britney did a fabulous job!). BOBALU Cigar Company out of Austin was there making cigars at the reception for guests and William Larotta from Bella Videography filmed the day.

The food was a southerner’s dream! I started my diet the day before and they had maple candy covered bacon. MAPLE CANDY COVERED BACON Y’ALL!!! What was I supposed to do?! I only had two pieces….

I usually don’t like to include this many images in a blog post…but what was I to do with a wedding this beautiful….

Felipe & Aimee|Briscoe Manor|Richmond, Texas

We met Felipe when we were very new in our business.  He was assisting one of our favorite videographers, William with Bella Videography.    We were so excited when he called us up and said he was getting married!

Felipe and Aimee are such a fun couple.  They love each other in a way that’s light and effortless and it seems like they’ve been together forever.  They are always laughing together.

They married on May 2nd at Briscoe Manor in Richmond, Texas.  Blooming Gallery did an amazing job on the flowers and as always Cakes by Gina provided an amazing cake.

Downtown Tulsa Family Session: The Porter Family

Kraig and Christine Porter have two of the cutest kids you’ll ever meet . . . and their personalities are even cuter! Last weekend I met them, Reece and Jack in downtown Tulsa for a family session.

Reece was a little reluctant at first.

BUT, Mom was able to warm her up a bit. . .

Mommy and Reecie

While Dad and Jack just chilled for a bit . . .

The weather was perfect and allowed for a lot of sweet smiles . . . and a few funny faces!

Happy Family :)

Happy Family 🙂

Reece was singing "Let is go" to me here. . . So sweet!

Reece was singing “Let is go” to me here. . . So sweet!

I just love this turquoise wall in downtown Tulsa!

Love this!

Love this!

Kraig and Christine were high school sweethearts. They are pretty cute together, huh?!

2014-05-31_00052014-05-31_0006The kids let us know that they were getting hungry so we opted for a change of scenery closer to where they were going for dinner.  The only problem was that we could smell the food . . . so the begging and pleading commenced. I was begging for smiles, they were begging for nachos and Mom was begging for everyone to be looking the same direction.

They promised to smile “really” good for the next few . . .

I can almost hear the "cheese" when I look at these! But it was being said in a very deep voice . . . you know the "I'm about done, get your camera outta my face" voice :)

I can almost hear the “cheese” when I look at these! But it was being said in a very deep voice . . . you know the “I’m about done, get your camera outta my face” voice 🙂 They crack me up!

Reece looked just perfect sitting on the stairs.

Pretty girl Reece

I really love that her skinned knee is showing in this shot.

I promised the kids that we were almost finished but first I needed a few shots of the two of them together. . . It started off okay!

Then I just couldn’t stop laughing. I asked Reece to give Jack a kiss and well like most brothers he said no. Then he said okay. Then he wiped it off on her!

No Kisses!

No Kisses!

I decided to try something different but Jack informed me that afterwards we had to do his idea. Deal.

THIS is my favorite little composite of the session.  Jack was being silly, Reece was annoyed and then they both made silly faces. Jack’s silly face came with sound effects and I told him that he sounded like a zombie . . . then they turned into zombies.

One more silly face with Mom 🙂

fishy face!

Now it is Jacks turn . . . He wanted to show me his muscles and that he can make his underarm make “fart” noises.

"eeeww Jack"

“eeeww Jack”

“Okay guys . . . Just one more shot then we can go eat!”2014-05-31_0018

“Reece, are you ready for nachos?”

I had such a great time with this beautiful family! Thank you Kraig and Christine for the fun evening 🙂

You can view the rest of the session HERE

xoxo – Jamie

“Voted The Knot Best of Weddings 2011 Pick for Wedding Photography

Washinton Ave. Engagement Session: Christine & Matt!

We have played on Washington but never worked . . . so when Christine and Matt wanted to give it a try, we said why not!

I love this little spot . . .

This was my favorite part of the session.  We stopped at Catalina Coffee for some refreshments and to get out of the heat for a bit. . . we didn’t intend on shooting here but once we were inside we just couldn’t help ourselves! Not to mention they have a very friendly staff and BEST coffee!

Seriously! I love this!!!

I’m not gonna lie . . . I was concerned that we could come upon a crime scene when we ventured out into the field.  Thankfully it was all clear . . . well at least our  area was!

We had so much fun! Matt and Christine treated us to dinner and drinks afterwards at Beavers . . . it was very delicious and has become a favorite spot of mine . . . I love the BBQ Tofu!!

Love. Love. Love.

Herman Park/Rice University Engagement Session: Anna & Dennis!

Rachel and I met Anna and Dennis on a very HOT summer day at Herman Park for their engagement session. They were so cute together and the heat never bothered them! After a while we headed over to the Rice University grounds . . . we can never get enough of those beautiful trees and ivy!

Here are some of our favorites:

Though we have shot in this area a bazillion times this was the first time we had come across this little nook . . . We instantly fell in love with it!!! It is like the entrance to the “Secret Garden”

We can’t wait for the wedding blog!!!

Here is the engagement slide show:

Ashton Gardens Wedding: Stefanie & Nick! Girls with Pearls Photography

Before the wedding Rachel and I shot Stefanie’s bridal session in the Market Street are of The Woodlands and visited Hotel Avia too! It was a gorgeous day and we were able to get some really great stuff before being run off by MSP (market street police).

Here are a few faves:

Now for the wedding! My latest trend seems to be that once a year I get very ill. . . and this year was no different. I was just getting over pneumonia and completed my bed rest the Friday before the wedding.  I was bored out of my mind sitting at home and could not wait to get out and shoot! I know we always say we love our jobs and we also always say it’s true . . . but it really is! Being a wedding photographer is very rewarding.  Rachel and I invest a lot of time and energy into our clients and it is a big deal to us to come full circle and shoot the wedding of a couple we have grown close to. Stefanie and Nick were no exception to this. They are wonderful people inside and out and we have loved getting to know them. Now for the goods . . .Everything was held at the beautiful Ashton Gardens and the celebrations were planned perfectly and ran very smooth . . . William at Bella Videography did all the video aaaaand Rachel and I of Girls with Pearls photography were the wedding photographers!

Stef secured some family heirlooms to her bouquet in memory of special loved ones.

I am not sure but, I think she is excited!

Nick wrote Stefanie the sweetest letter . . .

See! even the girls cried 🙂

Grrrrrrrr . . .

Don’t you just love her shoes??!

What sweet little ladies 🙂

Introducing . . . Mr. and Mrs. Wurtz!

These two laugh ALL the time!

Stef with her Daddy . . .

Nick and his Momma . . .

See . . . They even laugh while cutting the cake!

Here is Nick doing his Aggie thing . . .

And Stef getting her Longhorn on . . .

What’s that at the top of my frame??

Why, it is Texas‘ biggest fan that’s who!

I would just like to thank William with Bella Videography for supplying all the video lights and allowing us to get such awesome shots!

We had such a great time celebrating right along with you guys! Thanks for being awesome.

. . . and for all you “awesome” dancers out there, you’re welcome 🙂

I decided to only let the password holders view your awesome skillz once they are posted online.

Don’t forget the slide show . . .

Love. Love. Love.
